Jourdan is Britain's Best Top Model

This is definitely the year of the Dunn. The Black British teen model sensation was named 'Model of the Year' at last night's prestigious British Fashion Awards which took place at Lawrence Hall, Westminister. The accolade is the icing on the cake for what has been a spectacular year for the young supermodel. First up was that much talked about cover and fashion spread in Vogue Italia's  'All Black' issue. A few months later Jourdan was unveiled as the new face of fashion giant -Top Shop, as well as gaining contracts for other popular fashion chains such as Gap and Benetton. According to the London Paper the model was in tears as she collected her award, but still managed to quip that although her mother will be proud, she would have probably preferred a house. I really like Jourdan. She's obviously great at what she does but also seems down to earth, intelligent and is not afraid to speak out against the ugly prejudices that exist in the fashion industry. Congratulations lady!

It should have been me not her! I practically live in Primark... why don't fashion scouts hang around the Lewisham branch??

Well done Jourdan.

For those who don't know she was discovered shopping in Primark (Hammersmith Branch)

LOL! That's quite ironic Janice cos Lewisham Primark is my stomping ground too. Who knows, we may have passed each other on numerous occasions by the knicker table, lol. Although that said, I'm now more partial to the Bromley branch, Lewisham's far too crowded (she says trying to sound all posh)!!!

LOL!!!!!!

I've been to the Bromley branch and I must say I prefer it to.

Have you had the misfortune of going in to the Peckham branch? Lawd....... SMH..............SMH....

Oh my days, Peckham Primark (deep sigh). Just wrong, so wrong. Look how pristine and orderly the Bromley, Croydon and Hammersmith branches are. On the other hand whenever I visit the the SE15 branch I'm bound to a) get shoved out the way by an over enthusiastic auntie trying to buy the whole store, b) have my toes driven over by a push chair or c) have to queue up for an hour to pay for a pair of tights only to have someone try and jump the queue, or jump me, lol.

LOL!!! You're spot on!

Whenever I venture in to Peckham the snob in me rears her ugly head. All I can do is shake my head.....
